Dora Constantinou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1972. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Art, where she obtained her degree. She returned to establish her artistic residence in Cyprus. She has participated in a number of group and solo exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad.

The beginning of her career started by drawing mainly with pencil and charcoal. Now it has evolved into colorful paintings that express her taste for experimenting new ways in the production of art.

Her work has symbolic, dreamlike elements, like in her drawings and paintings of stairs and doors, representing perhaps an opening, a quest into the unknown. She believes that all artists should have their trademark and original characteristics, as she states that she was not directly influenced by any other artists.
