Achileas Kentonis sees himself as a researcher in electro and geomagnetics. The viewpoint is taken that it is possible to say confidently that the works of art are charged and radiate huge positive energy. The artist possesses thin humor and self-irony, and generously passes all this into his works. Therefore, when close to the installations of Achileas Kentonis, you can be assured you will receive a powerful charge.
Achileas Kentonis travels widely and is thus exposed to many ideas and cultures. The list of the exhibitions given by the artist is extensive and in part is attributable to the travel. The artist gathers new ideas whilst wandering the world. « I have travelled around the world trying to find something to impress my heart. There was nothing better than a warm shelter on a stormy night ». Such shelter for the artist is his native Cyprus.
This can be seen from the many activities which are Cyprus based wherein he has oorganised various international cultural events, multimedia events, urban interventions, geopolitical art, fax art, net art, mail art and realized artistic publications. Additionally he has designed and organized various symposiums and conferences in Cyprus and he has been invited to, and participated in, numerous others around the world.
Finally he has initiated, supported and participated in numerous European and International Cultural and Research programs.
